Nike AIR MAX 1 GOLF
Nike reached out and asked us to explore a design system for Air Max 1 Golf. Rather than reinterpreting the shoe’s silhouette, the work draws from a shared formal language between golf and Air Max itself: the circle. The spherical form of the golf ball mirrors the air units within the Air Max sole, creating a natural point of convergence.
Using the golf ball as a single generative constraint, the circle became the foundation of the entire system. Typography, framing devices, image windows, and graphic compositions were all constructed from this form, allowing a simple shape to produce a wide range of expressive outcomes. The system balances playfulness and rigor, demonstrating how a focused formal idea can scale into a cohesive, flexible visual language.
